Brusca from Retrosaria Rosa Pomar has a special composition: 50% merino and 50% Saloia.
The Saloia breed is an endangered breed from the Lisbon and Setubal regions. What makes this breed special is not only the high-quality wool, but also the milk from which the famous Queijo de Azeitão cheese is made.
This is a rustic, non-superwash yarn that feels soft and is therefore very suitable for garments.
Colors A, B, C, and BC are natural colors.
The entire process—from sheep to wool—takes place in Portugal.
Woollen spun ~ worsted yarn spun
Brusca (dark) is the old traditional name for the Saloia breed, so named because of the dark color of its head and legs.
