Matiz is Retrosaria Rosa Pomar's newest yarn. This yarn is made from the wool of the native Portuguese breeds Campaniça and Merino Preto, both of which graze in the Alentejo region. The logo is therefore quite fitting, featuring two sheep, one white and one black.
A strong, non-superwash yarn with a soft feel. Very suitable for warm garments and accessories, such as sweaters, cardigans, and hats. Its texture makes it particularly beautiful for colorwork or cables and brioche.
Available in 10 colors: 3 natural (A, C, D) and 7 variegated shades. A is natural white, D is natural brown, and C is a mix of natural white and natural brown.
The entire process—from sheep to wool—takes place in Portugal.
